Reflections on Imperial Entropy

Pax Americana is an exploration and examination of the rise and fall of empires. Similarly to the eras of Pax Romana and Pax Brittannica, our current era of Pax Americana has brought incredible development to the world and altered the arc of human history and just like those former eras, this era will someday end. 

‘Pax Americana’ is inspired by the ground-breaking music of Laurie Anderson, set to her 1981 hit single “O Superman,” using both dance and archival video collage to create a contemporary recontextualization to ask how we as a society got to this place in time, and where we go from here?
